What the Community is

The Deal Chase Community is a public directory of professional firms who serve middle market companies through a capital transaction — accountants, valuation analysts, M&A advisors, investment bankers, attorneys, insurance brokers, HR and PEO firms, ESOP specialists, wealth managers and others.

Its purpose is to make those firms findable at the moment a business owner needs them, on the platform where the transaction is already happening. Listing is free today.

These Guidelines describe how the directory works, what we ask of members, and what Deal Chase does and does not do.

What "vetted" means

Every firm in the directory applied to be there and was reviewed before publication. We check that the firm exists, that the person listed works there, and that the services described are consistent with what the firm does.

That is the whole of it, and it is worth being plain about the limits. We do not audit credentials, verify licensing on an ongoing basis, supervise anyone's work, or take a view on the quality of it. A listing is not a recommendation and not an endorsement. Anyone engaging a member firm should do their own diligence, exactly as they would with a firm they found any other way.

Joining

Apply through the Expert Registration form. Applications are reviewed before publication and we do not publish every one. There is no fee and no obligation.

We will ask for your company name, website, the services you offer, a description of your firm, a named contact, and where you have offices. That information is what makes the listing useful, so it is worth writing properly rather than briefly.

Your listing is public

The directory is open — no login, no account needed to browse it. That is the point of it. Your firm name, description, locations, named contact and contact email are visible to anyone, including automated systems that read web pages. Members join on that basis, and a published contact address is a condition of listing — the directory exists so that clients can reach you directly.

Keeping your listing accurate

This is the one obligation we do ask of members. A directory is only worth using if what it says is true today.

Each member has a personal link that opens their own listing for editing. Use it whenever something changes. Tell us promptly if the named contact leaves your firm, if your firm merges or closes, or if you stop offering a service you are listed under. A listing naming someone who left two years ago damages your firm's standing more than ours.

We may contact members periodically to confirm their listing is current.

Categories

Choose the categories that genuinely describe what you do. A firm may appear in several, and most do.

If nothing on the list fits your service properly, propose your own rather than settling for the nearest match — we would rather add a category than have you filed somewhere a client would not look for you. Proposed categories are subject to approval, so that the list stays useful and does not fill with near-duplicates.

What we ask of members

Describe your services accurately, and do not claim credentials, licences or affiliations you do not hold.

Do not present yourself as endorsed by, partnered with, or acting for Deal Chase. You are listed in our directory; that is the relationship.

Do not use the directory to solicit other members for services unrelated to a capital transaction, and do not harvest it — the contact details are published so that clients can reach members, not so that the list can be collected.

Treat other members and their professions with respect. Disagreement about approach is normal in this business; disparagement in a public directory is not.

What we do not do

We do not refer clients to particular members, take a fee for placement, or rank listings by anything other than the criteria shown. Nobody pays for position.

We do not take a commission on work a member wins through the directory, and we are not a party to any engagement between a member and a client.

We do not monitor or mediate what happens after a client contacts a member. If something goes wrong, that is between the parties, though we would want to know if a member's conduct suggests they should not be listed.

Cost

There is no cost today for a standard listing. As the platform develops we expect to charge for additional functionality; members listed today will not be charged for the listing they already have.

Removal

You may ask to be removed at any time, for any reason, by writing to info@DealChase.ai. We will take the listing down and confirm when it is done.

Deal Chase may remove any listing at any time, for any reason or for no reason, at its sole discretion. We will tell you that we have done it. Listing in the Community is at our invitation and continues at our discretion; it is not a right, and nothing in these Guidelines creates one.

Changes

We will post any change to these Guidelines on this page with a revised version number and effective date, and will notify members of any change that affects what is asked of them.
