How we hold your information, and what we do and do not do with artificial intelligence

Deal Chase does not send client documents to any artificial intelligence provider. We do not use client information to train artificial intelligence models, and the providers we use are contractually prohibited from training on it. Our assistant receives a client's role, industry and business size expressed as a range. It does not receive names, email addresses, company names, financial figures, or documents.
This policy describes how Deal Chase handles the information our clients give us, and in particular what we do and do not do with artificial intelligence. It is a commitment by Deal Chase. It does not require anyone's signature, and nothing in it reduces the obligations we owe under any agreement we have signed.
We publish it because the question of what a platform does with client information should be answerable before a client uploads anything, rather than after.
Documents. Documents a client uploads to a Deal Chase data room are stored in a private Amazon Web Services S3 bucket located in Amazon's US East (Northern Virginia) region. The storage is not publicly accessible. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled at the folder level, so a party granted access to one folder cannot reach another, and grants can be withdrawn at any time by the client who made them.
Profile and transaction information. Registration details, company profile information, valuation inputs and workflow progress are held in Deal Chase's own databases on our hosted infrastructure in the United States.
What we do not hold. Deal Chase does not require access to a client's transaction documentation and does not obtain it except where the client places it in a Deal Chase data room. We do not review, analyze or advise on the merits or terms of any transaction.
Deal Chase provides an assistant, Chase, and conversational guidance inside certain tools. These are powered by a third-party language model provided by Anthropic.
No document held in a Deal Chase data room is transmitted to Anthropic or to any other artificial intelligence provider, for any purpose.
The assistant does not receive a client's name, email address, or company name.
Where the assistant needs to understand the scale of a business in order to give useful guidance, it receives a range — for example, revenue of $1M–$5M — rather than the figure held in our records.
The client's role on the platform, which tools they have access to, the month their account was created, their industry, size ranges for revenue, profit and valuation where those are on file, and which tool, phase and step they are working in — together with Deal Chase's own instructional material.
What a client types is sent. A message typed into the assistant is transmitted in order to be answered. Clients should not paste confidential transaction documents or sensitive personal information into the assistant, and we ask that they do not.
No training. Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit the use of anything sent through our account to train their models. This is a contractual commitment, not an account setting we could switch off.
Retention. Anthropic does not store the content of our requests. The model Deal Chase uses is not one of the models that carry a mandatory retention window, so prompts and responses are not kept after the request is answered. The one exception, which applies to every provider of this kind, is that content may be retained where the law requires it or where a request is flagged by automated abuse-detection systems.
Before this changes. If Deal Chase ever proposes to process client documents using artificial intelligence, we will say so in advance, it will be optional rather than automatic, and it will not begin without the client's agreement.
Deal Chase uses the following third parties, each for a defined purpose:
All are located in the United States. Where a provider offers a setting that reduces what it keeps, we turn it on: our text-to-speech requests run in zero retention mode, so the words Chase speaks are not stored once the audio has been produced.
We will update this list before adding a provider that receives client information.
The identity and contact details of lenders, investors, buyers and other counterparties introduced through Deal Chase are confidential. Clients agree not to disclose them or use them outside the transaction for which the introduction was made, and Deal Chase treats client information reciprocally.
Documents remain in a client's data room until the client deletes them or asks us to. On written request to info@DealChase.ai, Deal Chase will delete a client's documents and confirm when it is done. Where we are required to retain a record — an executed agreement, for example — we will say so and retain only that.
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a revised version number and effective date, and will notify registered clients of any change that alters what we send to a third party.
